On presentation aspects, Bravado would like short
stories up to 3,000 words in Times New Roman, size 12 font; double-spaced with
indented paragraphs on white paper. E-mail submissions are acceptable in
Word format as an attached document to Fiction Editor Sue Emms to fiction@bravado.co.nz No
more than one story at a time, please.
As far as content is concerned, other than no erotica
for erotica's sake, or the extremes of genre writing (we're unlikely to
publish very simple romances or straight horror, for instance) the doors are
wide open. Good, strong writing is the main requirement; the content is
up to the writer. What we say is 'surprise us with writing that is edgy and
original, showy and brave.'

street address. Payment is variable, up to a $NZ10 contributor's fee, or
contributor's copy. Up to five poems per submission. |

Bravado welcomes essays that are bold, brash and
opinionated up to 2,000 words. Payment $20. Submit to Prose Editor Jenny Argante to street address or by e-mail to prose@bravado.co.nz. Only one
essay per submission. Payment by negotiation, not less than $NZ20. |
